Duct & Direct buried cable

Duct cable and direct buried cables are designed for underground installations in ducts or direct buried applications. They are characterised by metallic /non-metallic armour, good tensile strength and excellent compression resistance.

Product Description
  • Direct buried fiber optic cables are constructed by housing single-mode or multimode optical fibers within loose tubes made of high-strength, moisture-resistant materials (typically PBT). The tubes are filled with waterproof gel or dry water-blocking compounds to prevent moisture ingress. A central non-metallic (FRP) or metallic strength member provides robust tensile reinforcement.
  • The loose tubes (along with optional filler rods) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core. The cable core is then shielded with high-performance dry water-blocking tapes or yarns for longitudinal moisture protection. For enhanced durability, an additional layer of corrugated steel tape (CST) or aluminum armour may be applied (metallic armoured type) or replaced with non-metallic armour (e.g., glass yarn) . Finally, a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath is extruded to provide superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance.
Product Advantages
  • Optimized Pipeline Resource Utilization. Effectively alleviates tension on urban pipeline resources caused by expanding communication networks. Compact design maximizes duct space efficiency.
  • Efficient Installation & Deployment. Supports sectional construction and segmented laying for flexible project planning. Enables rapid deployment with simplified installation procedures. Suitable for long-distance laying with high construction efficiency.
  • Advanced Sheath Technology – features high-performance HDPE sheath materials with enhanced durability. Optional low-friction outer layer for easier duct pulling. Semi-dry structure design provides balanced moisture protection and flexibility.
  • Scenario-Adaptive Design – Customizable configurations for diverse application requirements, multiple armour options (metallic / non-metallic), available for different environmental challenges.  It maintains excellent performance across varying soil conditions and burial depths.
  • Network Future-Proofing – scalable capacity to accommodate network upgrades. Reduces maintenance needs and operational costs.
