Anti-Rodent Cable

Anti-Rodent Cable is a special type of optical cable designed to resist damage caused by rodents.By using anti-rodent materials such as glass fiber yarn, FRP, steel wire armor and stainless steel strip armor, anti-rodent the performance is achieved.

Product Description

Anti-Rodent cables are made by inserting single-mode optical fibers into loose tubes made of high-modulus polyester material (PBT), with waterproof compounds filled inside the tubes. Non-metallic or metallic strength member are used at the center of the optical cable. The loose tubes (and possible filling ropes) are twisted around the central strength member to form a compact ,circular cable core. Aluminum tape may be longitudinally wrapped around the cable core and a layer of inner polyethylene sheath is extruded. Additional glass yarns, flat FRP or round FRP armour, stainless steel tape and steel wire armour are used as anti-rodent material. Finally, a layer of outer polyethylene sheath is extruded to form the cable.
