Ribbon cable has excellent mechanical properties and is also moisture proof. It is suitable for ducts and for non-self-supporting overhead applications.

Product Description

The structure involves arranging an even number of optical fibers in parallel, bonding them with adhesive material and UV-curing them into fiber ribbons. These ribbons are then inserted into loose tubes made of high-modulus polyester material, with the tubes filled with water-blocking compound. At the core center lies metallic strength member, around which the loose tubes (and filler rods) are stranded to form a compact circular cable core. Gaps within the core are filled with water-blocking filling compound. An aluminum-plastic laminate (APL) tape is longitudinally applied before the cable is sheathed with an extruded polyethylene outer jacket.

An aluminum-plastic laminate (APL) moisture barrier and a full-section water-blocking structure guarantees excellent water-blocking and moisture-proof performance.
