The 400G PAM4 QSFP-DD ER8 optical transceiver is intended for 40km reach up to 8x 53.125Gbps PAM4 single mode 400Gbps communications equipment where cost effective, extraordinary performance and reliability are essential. The product is designed for 40km links Application of Data Center which meet 400G ER8 specification. On the transmitter side, 8-channel electrical lanes which is capable of 53.125Gbps PAM4 data per lane converted into 8-channel 53.125Gbps PAM4 optical lane by gearbox, and multiplex them into one single mode fiber .On the receive side, 425Gbps optical Signal was de-multiplexed into 8-channel 53.125Gbps PAM4 optical lane, and converted into 8-channel 53.125Gbps PAM4 electrical lanes by gearbox. Module-level digital diagnostic functions are available via an I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP-DD MSA.
