On August 23, 2013, the state grid corporation of science and technology organizations in Beijing held a "500 kV and above optical fiber composite phase line voltage environment (OPPC) engineering technology research and application" project of science and technology achievements testing. ZhongTian technology group, as one of the research and development unit, responsible for the 500 kV voltage class using corpus of OPPC system products.

"500kV and above optical fiber composite phase line voltage environment (OPPC) engineering technology research and application" for the state grid corporation of science and technology projects, the project led by China electric power research institute of information communication.

Some experts pointed out that the optical fiber composite phase line (OPPC) is a fiber composite into conventional overhead power transmission wire products, have the double function of communication and transmission. At present is mainly used in 35 kV voltage environment, exploratory applied in 110 kV, 220 kV voltage environment, there is no any application for 500 kV and above voltage environment system research.

ZhongTian technology research and development personnel offering unremitting efforts, successfully developed the suitable for the application of more than 500 kV voltage class environment OPPC system products, in October 2012 in bazhou UHV tower has been set up the domestically first testing line of producing with electromagnetic environment.
