Jiangsu, 17th Dec 2016, ZTT Group - leading global manufacturer of cable systems, passed two technical appraisals, with its two products which are the world's first "AC 500kV XLPE optical fiber composite cable (including soft joint)" and China's first “three core 220kV large length submarine optical fiber composite cable (including soft joint)".

Living and production of local residents has been plagued by the poor environment of islands’ electricity. Due to the increasing of power capacity and the existence of obstacles of power transmission, power rationing is often happened; even the local power supply is still in the state of diesel generator and candle.

On December 17th, ZTT’s key technology of UHV submarine cable system was identified by China Electricity Council (CEC) and Economic and Information Commission of Jiangsu Province.

Mr. Xue Shuhong, Director of ZTT Research Institute, said, “ZTT 500kV submarine optic/electric composite cable has its practical demands, which State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Corporation is planning to constructing submarine power transmission line from Ningbo to Zhoushan Island.”
